Step TWO (Towards Working as One) on 25 March 2010 at Lancaster House Hotel will build upon the hugely successful ONE event held in January where over forty organisations signed up to the Third Sector Lancashire CYP Commissioning Collaborative.
The TWO event is part of the capacity building project piloted by Young Lancashire on behalf of the Children and Young People’s Participation Network
Young Lancashire’s Chief Officer, Graham Whalley, said: “This is an exemplar project that aims to 're-present' the way in which we, as a sector, deliver services."
Register your Organisation with for the Third Sector Lancashire Directory of Organisations.
The directory enables you to showcase your organisation, and its areas of operation and support.
All third sector organisations operating in the sub region of Lancashire should get involved with Third Sector Lancashire.
Third Sector Lancashire has a clear mandate: To become the voice of the 3rd Sector in Lancashire.
As can be seen from the About TSL page, we are not a membership organisation in the traditional sense, as we operate on a 'levels of enagement model.' This simply means that there although there are no onerous expectations on organisations with limited resources, they benefit from the work and inititives of being a part of TSL.
To enable your organisation to participate do the following:-
TSL has a new lead Staff Member and a New Chair. Pam Smith and the Reverend Canon Michael Wedgeworth, MBE join the team.
Fundamental to the continued development of TSL, Pam Smith joins the team as the first full time member of staff. Pam holds the reins of TSL and brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the fold having joined TSL from the Charity Commission. Prrior to that she was head of the Advice Service at Liverpool University Guild.
Speaking of her appointment Pam explained, “This is a great opportunity. Irrespective of whichever party gains control in the impending election, the voluntary sector is a key part of community improvement, support and delivery.
This brief consultation has now closed, and we would like to thank all those who responded.
